The West-East­ern Di­van Or­ches­tra left its sig­ni­fic­ant mark on the pro­gram­ming of the Salzburg Fest­iv­al 2007. The sym­phon­ic con­certs in the Großes Fest­spiel­haus, the cham­ber mu­sic con­certs in the Moz­ar­teum and the School of Listen­ing-Work­shops in the Great Uni­versity Hall with the West-East­ern Di­van Or­ches­tra un­der the guid­ance of Daniel Bar­en­boim turned out to be an­oth­er high­light of the polit­ic­al am­bi­tious pro­ject that star­ted in 1999 as a work­shop for cham­ber mu­sic.

The doc­u­ment­ary provides an in­sight in­to the re­hears­als of the mu­si­cians, cov­ers polit­ic­al dis­cus­sions and shows the le­gendary West- East­ern Di­van Or­ches­tra – Wien­er Phil­harmo-nik­er soc­cer match. The fi­nal tour con­cert in the sold-out Ber­liner Phil­har­monie forms the grand fi­nale.
