Haydn's symphonies are performed relatively rarely in regular concert programmes - wrongly so, as The Kammerphilharmonie Bremen aims to prove with its lively and entertaining interpretations. The size and formation of the Kammerphilharmonie is already ideal for Haydn symphonies that wowed and captivated the 18th-century London audience with a rich orchestral palette, humour and innovative ideas.

In an ambitious project under the direction of its long-standing chief conductor Paavo Järvi, the Bremen orchestra is recording Haydn's London symphonies.
The documentary accompanies the orchestra and conductor during studio recordings and concerts and shows the concentrated, creative and enjoyable collaboration.

In 2023, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen has been honoured as Orchestra of the Year for its recording of Joseph Haydn's ‘London Symphonies’ by the British classical music magazine ‘Gramophone’.
In addition, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen were awarded with the ‘Opus Klassik’ Prize as ‘Orchestra of the Year’ 2024 for the first two productions (Symphonies No. 101 and 103) with RCA Records. This important award for exceptional audio productions in the field of classical music in Germany is presented annually by the Verein zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Classical Music).
